It’s not a secret that green and black with a touch of gold is one of my favorite color combinations. I’ve been working with variations of this color combination a lot lately and honestly, I want to get it out of my system. I love doing this to show that this color combination is versatile and you can make it work with almost any interior design style.
The Inspiration
When I started working on this design I didn’t intend on going with a green/brown/black color palette but after seeing this chair from Joss & Main I couldn’t step away.
The Color Palette
I have mentioned before, I have a green and black color palette. The addition of gold/brass accents is my thing favorite thing to do with these colors because it makes them pop. I like that there is a nice balance between the two colors! One color is not used more than the other. To do this I tried to stick to black for all of the wood furniture such as the bed, nightstands, and side table (although the side table isn’t wood). And then there’s green for the bench, accent chairs, and greenery.

The Furniture and Decor
I wanted to add some print to this space because all of the furniture and accents were solid colors. I did this with the pillows!
It was a perfect addition because pillows are small and this print makes a huge statement! I chose to go with velvet for all of the seating because I wanted this room to give off a bit of a luxurious/comfy feel and what better way to do that than with velvet furniture?

Most of the bedroom designs I have created have canopy beds and I’m not ashamed to create another design that includes one. The canopy bed in this design was a great touch because it adds to the luxurious/comfy feel I was going for. This is another reason why I chose to go with gold accents.
I love mixing textures and for this reason, I chose to go with a cast metal side table. I also love the finish on this table because it looks fluted, which adds more character to the design.

The idea to go with gold accents came from the legs of the bench which were gold; it was fitting to pull that color into the rest of the design. Not only that but gold is the perfect color to combine with green and black.
